This project for PCB and BGIS involved the milling and re-sheeting of the existing asphalt pavement (12,000m2) and the construction of a new carpark within the RAAF base.
The scope of works included:
<ul>
<li> Mill and re-sheet of existing roads (approx. 12,000 m2)</li>
<li>FRP works for pram ramps, footpaths, kerb and gutter</li>
<li>Carpark – installation of subbase and base course</li>
<li>Linemarking and wheel stops</li>
</ul>
The works were undertaken within an operating RAAF base. Strict safety measures were implemented to ensure military training operations could continue without interruption. Careful measures were also required due to the existence of high voltage services within the work zone.
